LaTorre pipes were made in Italy by Ernesto Ossola. It has been smoked, but is truly in nearly new condition. There is a beautiful, tight straight grain on both sides of the bowl and shank. No fills, bumps or dents. There is one very tiny tooth mark on the top of the stem, and one on the bottom. I have sanitized, cleaned and buffed this pipe. That is all it needed. It really is an unusually nice freehand by a little known carver who made some very nice pipes.
